OFF-SITE LEVY COORDINATOR

 (Permanent, Full-time)

 

Parkland County has a Permanent, Full-time position available in the Planning & Development Services Department for an Off-Site Levy Coordinator.  Reporting to the Manager, Current Planning, you are responsible for administering the Off-Site Levy program of the County, including the managing, coordinating, implementing and monitoring of Development Agreements, including associated securities and critical timelines.  The position also administers, monitors and updates the Off-Site Levy Model.  The position is responsible to work with Current Planning, Land Development Engineering and Engineering Services to ensure the most accurate information is included in both development agreements and in the Off-Site Levy Model.  You will be responsible for all associated policies, bylaws and procedures related to these responsibilities, by way of preparation, review and any necessary approvals including Council or committees.  Strong writing, communication, negotiation and organizational skills are required.  Must demonstrate superior interpersonal skills in dealing effectively with the development industry and landowners along with good analytical and problem solving skills.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree and/or technical Diploma in Engineering or Planning.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in municipal development engineering or planning.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Good working knowledge of off-site levy modeling and experience with the Corvus model would be an asset.
  • Experience with municipal land development processes and development/ servicing agreements is necessary.
  • Well-developed computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.  A current Driver's Abstract must be provided.

Rate of Pay:

$89,280 to $111,588 per annum

Hours of Work:

7 hours/day; 35 hours/week
