Caring for the County: Public Works

2024 Achievements
- Our transfer stations are a necessity for residents so we’re always working to improve and expand the services we offer.
- We introduced a clean glass collection program at the Parkland County Transfer Station and have collected 4 tonnes of glass material in the first year! 4 tonnes of glass equals 16,000 beer bottles – cheers to that!
- The addition of mattress recycling at our rural transfer stations resulted in 470 mattresses collected.
- To keep Parkland County naturally beautiful, we’ve eliminated diesel generators at the Seba Beach & Kapasiwin transfer stations which has reduced our carbon footprint.
