The Director of Emergency Management, Brian Cornforth, of Parkland County has been advised that the imminent danger from the wildfire to life and property present in the area between Highway 22 and Range Road 63 and between Township Road 510 and 524 has diminished at this time.

Evacuation Order


 

As per the Alberta Emergency Management Act RSA 2000 Chapter E6.8 Current as of November 19, 2018. Section 19 (1) subsection (g) Parkland County has issued a mandatory evacuation order within the following area: Between Highway 22 and Range Road 63 and between Township Road 510 and 524, due to wildfire. If you are in this area you must leave immediately.

Evacuation cancelled for Parkland County

PARKLAND COUNTY, AB. – The evacuation notices  and alert notifications for Parkland County residents have been lifted, effective April 19, 2016 at 7 p.m. Due to smoke conditions in the Duffield area , air quality remains a concern and residents need to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves.

Parkland County cancels state of local emergency.

PARKLAND COUNTY, AB. – Mayor Rod Shaigec has cancelled the state of local emergency that was called on April 18 due to wildfires.

Fire crews are battling fires in both the Duffield and Tomahawk areas. Both fires are now under control.

Residents who live in the Hamlet of Duffield and the Duffield Downs subdivision were evacuated on April 18, but were allowed to return to their homes yesterday evening (April 19).
