Parkland County Acknowledges December 12, 2022 as "Chipmas Day"
On December 12, 2022, thanks to 10-year-old Tim Kers, we’ll be celebrating “Chipmas Day” here in Parkland County. Tim wrote a letter to Mayor Gamble explaining how his family celebrates Chipmas – a festive day when they eat potato chips for breakfast, lunch and dinner! His reasons for wanting to celebrate Chipmas in the County?
“1. Chipmas will be a fun holiday leading up to Christmas.
2. The stores maybe would be happy if people bought a lot of chips.
3. I would want everybody in Parkland County to know about Chipmas because it is an awesome holiday.”
So, join us this upcoming Monday in celebrating Chipmas with Tim and enjoy some potato chips (maybe even for all three meals!)
Council is pleased to be donating potato chips to the Parkland Food Bank in recognition of this special day.
