Statement Regarding Possible Hate Crime in Parkland County

Parkland County, AB – Parkland County has released the following statement:

"We were shocked and saddened to learn of the possible hate crime at Graminia School. Parkland County is a vibrant and diverse community that welcomes those from all backgrounds and there should be no doubt that schools in our county are a safe place for all. We expect our children to be safe at school, and this includes from harassment and bullying. LGBTQ2S+ students and Gay-Straight Alliance members should not live in fear of hate or discrimination.

Hate has no place in Parkland County. We encourage anyone who has information pertaining to this matter to report it to Parkland RCMP."
