New Bylaws in Parkland County

Parkland County has recently passed three new bylaws: Community Standards Bylaw, Fire Permit Bylaw and Animal Control Bylaw. Click HERE for important information you should know about these bylaws.

Fire Advisory Update:

Parkland County Fire Services has withdrawn the Fire Advisory effective Tuesday, May 19, 2009. County residents are encouraged to continue exercising fire safety practices including discarding smoking materials properly, using spark arresters on OHVs and motorcycles, and only using barbeques and approved fire pits with a tight-mesh screen.

Fire Permit Bylaw 36-2008

On May 12, 2009, Parkland County Council passed Fire Permit Bylaw 36-2008, which includes many changes from the previous Fire Bylaw 48-2003.

These changes affect the sale and discharge of fireworks, the use of outdoor wood-fired boilers, indoor or outdoor solid fuel burning appliances, and outdoor burning in restricted burn areas, such as hamlets, industrial parks and multi-lot country residential subdivisions. Read MORE.

Rotary Run for Life

6th Annual Rotary Run for Life

Heritage Park, Stony Plain

The Rotary Run for Life is a joint partnership of the Stony Plain and Spruce Grove Rotary Clubs and the Coordinated Suicide Prevention Program. All funds raised by the run are used for suicide prevention programs and mental health initiatives in the tri-municipal area.
