Solid Waste Disposal Card
Effective October 1st, 2008, all Parkland County residents disposing of Household Waste (bagged household garbage, recyclables, appliances, ashes or small furniture) must present their Solid Waste Disposal Access Card to the site operator prior to disposal in order to be eligible for "No Charge" Disposal.
If you have not received a Solid Waste Disposal Access Card, would like an additional card for another property owner, or have lost your card, please complete an Application Form.
In order to process your application, we will need the following documents:
- Government-issued photo identification, and
- Property Assessment/Tax Notice or Certified Copy of Title or Transfer of Land (property purchase documents)
You may bring the completed form and documents to the County Services Building located on the west side of Highway 779 between Highways 16 and 16A. Application form and documents can also be mailed it but we require you to contact us at 780-968-8448 prior to sending in the documentation.
If you rent property in Parkland County and would like a Solid Waste Disposal Access Card, please have your landlord contact us to complete an application form.
There is a $25 charge to replace a Solid Waste Disposal Access Card (charge only applies if a card had previously been issued).
Note: County residents must bring their Solid Waste Disposal Access when visiting the transfer stations. Dumping fees will be applied for the visit you do not present your card. Having your card will also help to alleviate line-ups during the busy hours. Valid government identification will also be needed to confirm ownership of your Solid Waste Disposal Access Card.
For more information, contact Solid Waste Services at 780-968-8448.
