Recreation & Sports Facilities
Parkland County operates the Entwistle Outdoor pool and is involved in cost share agreements with other recreation facilities serving county residents.
County Facilities
Entwistle Outdoor Pool
The Entwistle Outdoor Pool is located in the hamlet of Entwistle and is open from the end of May through to the end of August (weather permitting)
Meridian Sports Park
Meridian Sports Park, boasting four regulation size baseball diamonds, is located between Highway 16 and Highway 16A next to the Parkland County Centre, and is just minutes north of Stony Plain.
Additional Recreation Facilities
Entwistle Skate Park
The skate park is located in the hamlet of Entwistle, just next to the swimming pool.
Pembina Rec-Plex
This facility, operated by the Pembina Agriculture and Recreational Society, is a safe, clean and comfortable facility for all ages. The facility offers a single sheet indoor arena, Ag riding arena, fitness centre and meeting rooms.
TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre
The TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre (TLC), operating as a Part-Nine, not for Profit Corporation, is designed to service the communities of Parkland County, Spruce Grove, and Stony Plain. Meeting the recreational, social and wellness needs of all residents remains a core focus of the TLC.
