100-year Agricultural Award

Parkland County will also recognize a farm family who has farmed, and continues to farm, in Parkland County for 100 years or longer by presenting them with a 100-Year Agricultural Award. Each applicant must meet the following criteria in order to qualify for the award:

  1. the applicant must provide complete documentation (copy of land title, homestead title or family tree) to verify family history.
  2. the applicant must be a direct descendant (son, daughter, grandson, granddaughter, great-grandson, great-granddaughter, etc.) of the original homesteader.
  3. The land must have been owned for consecutive years.
  4. The family must be actively farming the land at the time of application.
  5. The applicant must be residing on the original homestead.
