Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area
Parkland County has placed a SEASONAL RESTRICTION on horse use on Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area Trails. This means no horses on the area trails during the winter months.
The seasonal restriction is in place until the snow season is completed and Parkland County is no longer grooming and setting the trails for skiing (normally in March, depending on snow situation).
The seasonal restriction is intended to preserve and protect Parkland County’s grooming and tracksetting efforts for cross country skiing as well as address safety issues with winter trail use.
Contact Parkland County Parks and Recreation at 780-968-8888 with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
