A Thriving Business Community
Parkland County has a thriving business community that is growing at a very rapid pace, keeping up with the booming Alberta economy. With three major business parks located in Parkland, there is a wide variety of land available, at a wide range of prices.
The largest business park, Acheson Industrial Area, has 16 sections of land (about 10,000 acres) of developable land, of which about 2,000 acres are currently developed. This area has over 160 businesses located in it, with a variety that ranges from manufacturers, oilfield, forestry, power, transportation, distribution and much more. With almost 2,000 acres of land actively being developed, the area is set and ready to grow. In fact, in 2006 there are already over $130 million worth of projects underway that will add over 1 million sq. ft. of buildings to the Acheson Area.
The Entwistle Industrial Area, with a recently approved Area structure Plan, is primed and well located in the Drayton Valley area to handle the growth in the oilfield business in the western part of the county.
The Meridian Industrial Area is centrally located, north of Stony Plain, to give businesses another choice for locating their business.
So no matter what your company’s needs are, Parkland County has the perfect location for you. With lower cost land, combined with lower taxes, an excellent location and a business friendly environment, Parkland County is right for you.
