Business Licenses

Parkland County requires businesses operating in the County to have a Parkland County business license or a tri-municipal license, which allows businesses to operate in Parkland County, Stony Plain and Spruce Grove.

Only those businesses with a Parkland County license or a tri-municipal license are included in our Business Directory and are eligible for recognition in our Business Recognition Programs.

Community Futures

Capital Region Community Futures is a federally funded government program that provides resources to develop and diversify the local economy. Community Futures provides entrepreneurs with practical, technical, financial and business information. Community Futures also has access to government agencies and programs that may be of interest to entrepreneurs.

Serving the communities of Parkland County, Leduc County and Brazeau County, Community Futures Capital Region (CFCR) is located at 5006 - 50 Street (Phone: 780-968-7013) in Stony Plain, Alberta, and is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing communities and encouraging, sustaining and supporting economic development across rural Alberta. Funded by Western Economic Diversification, CFCR is a development lender assisting viable business ideas which result in economic success for our rural communities.
